About Us
Over 20 years ago, two best friends discussed running their own company one day as a vessel of learning to help others. They knew that their impact could expand beyond the reach of their own capacities to support schools. As they progressed through their prospective careers, they knew it was destined to happen when they retired from public education. To fulfill this dream, Destiny Educational Solutions, LLC was created in May 2020.
Dr. Sylvia J. Mizzelle
An educator with over 28 years of experience in public education, Dr. Mizzelle has worked in many areas of public service. She began her career as a fifth grade teacher, school administrator, Federal Programs and an Executive Director at the district level. Dr. Mizzelle considers herself to be a lifelong learner and a transformative leader that grows from helping others. Her focus is on effective teaching and learning that supports positive student success.
Dr. Mizzelle received her bachelor’s degree in Intermediate Education, Master's Degree in Education concentration in Administration & Supervision from East Carolina University, and Ed.D in Educational Leadership from Fayetteville State University. She is currently retired and works as a Leadership Coach and an Education Consultant supporting school districts.
During her freetime, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends. Her community involvement includes membership in Delta Kappa Gamma International Society and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Dr. Delilah Jackson
Recently retired after 30 years of service in public education, Dr. Jackson is still committed to serving educational institutions for the betterment of others. She began her career as a fifth grade teacher. She also worked as a building level administrator and Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources. In her last years, she served as a Superintendent and School Improvement Grant Coach. Her collaborative leadership efforts have impacted several districts within eastern North Carolina. Dr. Jackson has a passion for building human capital to support the learning environment for all students.
Dr. Jackson attended East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina where she received her Bachelors in Intermediate Education, Masters in Educational Administration and Supervision, and Doctorate in Educational Leadership. She is currently serving as an adjunct professor at Liberty University in the Educational Leadership department.
Dr. Jackson is married to a wonderful husband with two young men that she adores. Spending time with family and friends is an integral part of her life. Continuing her devotion to serving others, Dr. Jackson is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Delta Kappa Gamma International Society.
